Few people know that Tibetan monks have long and successfully used colors to create a sand mandala (the mandala – the main magic figure, widely used in Buddhist and Hindu Tantrism as a visual aid to contemplative practice).
The unique carpet which was made on 12 thousand square meters surface was created by 25 artists. To make such beauty, it took 70 different colors of sand, found on the shores of the island of Hormuz, widely known for its red soil.
The previous carpet had a giant area of 900 square meters and it was located in the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean.
