<p>Polar bears and penguins committing suicide is the focus of a series of provocative art installations by Taiwanese artist <a href="http://www.vincentjfhuang.com/">Vincent J.F Huang</a>. Dubbed the <em>Suicide Penguins</em>, Huang’s art explores the negative effects global climate change is having on the animals of the world, in particular the creatures living at the North and South Poles.</p>
<p>The <em>Suicide Penguins</em> art installation, located under <em>Millennium Bridge</em> in London, England features two glass penguins and a stuffed polar bear hanging from nooses.</p>

<p>The idea for “Swimming Pool” by <a href="http://www.leandroerlich.com.ar/">Leandro Erlich</a> was first conceived in 1998 while the artist was in residence in Houston as part of the Core program. Since then, it was featured at the Venice Biennale and has found a home as part of the permanent collection at the <a href="http://www.kanazawa21.jp/">21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art</a> in Kanazawa, Japan.</p>

<p>At first glance it seems that standing on the edge of the pool and look at people moving under water, where the effect of water is created by using special glasses. But after passing under the earth, you find yourself in another room with a ceiling of transparent plexiglass, which can now &#8220;out of the water&#8221; watch as stunned as you previously, visitors, staring down at you puzzled and confused look.</p>

He has more than 100 solo exhibitions and numerous awards, among them the title of winner of the Turner Prize, Britain&#8217;s most prestigious awards in the field of contemporary art, and a Knight of the Order of the British Empire.  His work can be seen in the collections, and just in the middle of the city.
